Arizona’s 2017 Recipient of Naomi Rabb Winston Art Scholarship

Tess Berghoff is finishing her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Santa Clara University with a double major in Studio Art and Psychology. She has won awards at the California State Fair in drawing as well as the Best Drawing in Santa Clara University. She plans to go onto graduate school in Art. She hopes to incorporate social justice and awareness through her art.

 

Naomi Winston Scholarships in Art

Annual scholarships for continuing study are awarded to visual artists ages 16 to 22. Awards are for private study, workshops, museum or summer programs. Funds are sent directly to the institution, teacher or tutor chosen by the winner. The maximum award is $5,000. The AZ chapter will chose the two best applications to send to National for final award consideration. CD applications are due to the chapter each year by February 1st. The CalArts NSAL Endowed Annual Scholarship

NSAL awards are given to students attending the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, California, totaling over $142,000 to more than 40 recipients since 1987. The awards are given in a broad range of visual arts media including, among others, painting, sculpture, photography and video. Annual awards have ranged from $3800 to $7,100.
